Itinerary

Day 1 - Sydney to Noosa
Your adventure kicks off in the exciting city of Sydney, where you will board an overnight bus, departing at 6:45 pm, to the dreamy beach town, Noosa.

Days 2 and 3 - Noosa
Spend 2 days discovering beautiful Noosa, known for its dreamy beaches, incredible National Park and the worlds longest wave.

Day 4 - Rainbow Beach
Today, it’s on to Rainbow Beach, feel the excitement bubble as you pull into this cruisy beach town which is also the gateway to magical Fraser Island. Leave Noosa on a 4:20 pm bus and arrive in Rainbow beach just outside your hostel at 7 pm. Check into Dingos hostel for 2 nights and meet your fellow dorm mates, we guarantee most of them will be joining you on your Fraser Island safari! Join a free guided walk tour to Carlo Sandblow, this magnificent sand dune overlooks the coloured sands making sunset an incredible time of day.

Day 5 - Rainbow Beach
Enjoy a free day to explore Rainbow Beach. Want to kayak alongside dolphins on one of the worlds dreamiest coast likes? Ask Us How!

Day 6 - Fraser Island / Rainbow Beach
It’s true what they say about Fraser Island, Lake McKenzie is the colour of emeralds and the sun shines all the time! Depart bright and early for a full day of exploring tranquil Pile Valley rainforest and so much more! Return to Rainbow Beach for 1 more night.

Day 7 - Rainbow Beach/Overnight Bus to Airlie Beach
Spend the day soaking up the rays as you farewell Rainbow Beach, this is also the last “surfable” beach on the East Coast before heading north to Airlie Beach, so be sure to lock in a cheap surf lesson before you leave, Ask Us How! Board your overnight bus in the evening to Airlie Beach.

Days 8 and 9 - Airlie Beach
Check into your accommodation for 2 nights, wander down to the lagoon for some super relaxation in preparation for your Whitsundays trip.

Days 10, 11 and 12 - Whitsundays 
Prepare to have your breath taken away by the serene beauty of the Whitsundays with 2 incredible days of speeding across sparkling, aqua blue waters to explore some amazing corners and coves, spectacular snorkelling locations and of course, Whitehaven Beach. Return to Airlie beach on the afternoon of day 12 and check into your Airlie Beach accommodation for 1 more night.

Day 13 - Airlie Beach to Cairns
Head further into tropical northern Queensland to a town better known as Cairns! Cairns is famous for its endless activity options, amazing restaurants and bustling bars, not to mention, the gateway to world heritage listed areas the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. 

Days 14 and 15 - Cairns
These days are yours to do as you please in Cairns. Embark on a hike along the Barron Falls wilderness track, scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef or if you’re feeling very adventurous, you can add a 50-metre bungy jump to your bucket list!

Day 16
Today is the day your East Coast comes to an end, check out of your accommodation and look back on a wild adventure of a lifetime!


Pickups / Departures

This package can depart Sydney any day of the week. Note this particular Whitsundays Boat departs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. 


Extras

  • Please note that this package includes dorm hostel accommodation however you are able to upgrade the accommodation to private
  • Fraser Island accommodation can’t be upgraded as it is camp accommodation
  • Apart from the $10 levy for Fraser Island which needs to be paid directly on the day of travel, there are no other compulsory extra costs for this package.
  • Please be advised that the price advertised includes this levy but when you proceed to checkout, the price you pay does not include the levy.
  • There is an optional $10 sleeping bag hire on Fraser Island. 
  • Extra accommodation can be purchased for the following fees: 

-       1 night Cairns hostel accommodation  $29/night

  • Please note that surcharges may apply to holiday periods, Christmas and New Years.
